About Me

I’m Tyler, an honors Aerospace Engineering student at Iowa State. I have always liked building things, whether it be a lemonade stand, fort in the woods, 3D printed boat, website, or an 8ft wind tunnel. I like to make things that will help or influence other peoples lives. That is the thread through the work on this site: a 3D-printed subsonic wind tunnel with data acquisition, electronics I design and fabricate, and smaller CAD and web projects I use to learn a tool end to end. This summer I took that same habit to AriensCo and built a sensor-and-dashboard system for real product-usage data. I taught myself to code during high school, and I don't really understand why I enjoy it so much, but I do! I decide on what to build by determining what skills I want it to teach me, or what problems will it solve.W hen I’m not in the lab or at a printer, I’m usually biking, hiking, downhill sking, or messing with rockets. If you want to talk about a project, use the contact form or email me.
